Whales to Iceland from Shanghai
Mannvit has been responsible for the entire design of the Beluga's new facility in Vestmannaeyjar, in Iceland in cooperation with Merlin Entertainment. Both adaptation pool and sanctuary in a cove at Vestmannaeyjar islands. Cargolux will transport the two Beluga whales from Shanghai to Vestmannaeyjar islands, a small fishing village, South of Iceland in a Boeing 747.
Merlin and two charities are behind this large project, aimed at moving the two 12 year old Beluga whales from an amusement park in Shanghai to a more natural habitat in Iceland.
