
Iceland Geothermal Conference 2016
Iceland Geothermal Conference 2016 is taking place at the Harpa conference center in Reykjavik April 26-29th. The IGC 2016 is both a conference and an exhibition for companies supporting geothermal developers and developers themselves as well as financial institutions. Over 650 participants are registered already from 45 nations. The Icelandic Geothermal Cluster is behind the conference and the speaker list contains multiple high-profile speakers from the public and private sector.
Mannvit is a participant in the exhibit at stand I-2. In addition, Mannvit’s staff has 3 presentations at the conference. Elín Hallgrímsdóttir, Mechanical Engineer at Mannvit is presenting wellhead turbine technology with Yngvi Guðmundsson from Verkís: „Geothermal Well Head Units“.Árni Magnússon, Director of Energy and Transmission at Mannvit is speaking about the challenges in financing geothermal projects: „Geothermal Development: Mission impossible? or possibly possible?“. Lastly, Gábor Molnár from Mannvit in Hungary is presenting: „Geothermal Heat Utilization in Central Europe“.
Mr. Zoltan Salánki from EU- Fire will talk about the social impact of the EGS project of EU-Fire and Mannvit in Hungary: „How to promote tomorrow's strategy today? - The Social Impact of an EGS demonstration project in Hungary“.
