GTN becomes Geoscience Center
Geothermie Neubrandenburg GmbH (GTN) - celebrating its 25th anniversary this year - will become the Geoscience Centre of the Mannvit group. GTN will continue developing the geoscientific capacities, including; geology, geochemistry, geophysics, reservoir engineering and drilling engineering within the entire group. As a result, GTN will provide comprehensive support to the international geothermal activities of the group, in addition to the development of new specialized services.
Mannvit’s acquisition of shares in Geothermie Neubrandenburg GmbH in 2008 laid the foundation for one of the biggest geothermal consultancies worldwide. Today, more than 120 engineers and geoscientists are active in geothermal projects with offices in Iceland, Norway, Greenland, Hungary, Indonesia, Chile, and Germany.
After a year of preparation, the decision was made to develop the GTN offices (Neubrandenburg, Berlin, Unterhaching) as the Geoscience Centre for the entire Mannvit group. The German offices will maintain a close link with the Icelandic geoscientists, drilling- and reservoir engineers to capitalize on the Icelandic geothermal know-how and decades of experience in the implementation of geothermal projects in Europe, Asia, and South America. This cooperation will form an outstanding basis for further business activities of GTN and Mannvit.
