Mannvit has operated a testing and research laboratory since 1993, and employs a staff of highly skilled experts in the fields of concrete, aggregate, geological and geotechnical engineering.
The laboratory’s primary focus is on studying the strength and durability of construction and road building materials, as well as an increasing number of tests in the areas of rock and soil mechanics.
Testing and research capacity has expanded from year-to-year, as has the diversity of services offered. For example, new equipment was recently added for testing steel and cement.
Mannvit’s laboratory works in cooperation with international parties. Project examples include conducting research on Alkali Aggregate Reactions (AAR) in concrete to develop new testing methods. Recently, an
International Centre of Research and Applied Technology for Alkali Aggregate Reactions has been established. The Centre operates in close coordination with a group of international experts in AAR.
In addition to a range of testing, the laboratory offers expert assessments and consulting in interpretation of test results, as well as evaluating whether materials fulfill project requirements. Other services include providing assistance in preparation and implementation of factory production control.
