Geophysical Exploration
Geophysical exploration such as, resistivity, gravity, seismic and geodetic measurements

Geophysical explorations are needed to get a better understanding of the subsurface features of the geothermal resource and are important steps towards a successful project. The most common geophysical surveys are AMT/MT surveys, gravity surveys and seismic surveys.
The first step in every geophysical survey is to establish a program of data acquisition in the field, where the proper location and accuracy of measurements are essential. The Mannvit team then selects and appoints, in collaboration with the Client, the best sub-contractor available to execute the specific survey, manages on-site supervision, handles change management during the survey and, evaluates and interprets the data for the Client.
Project example:
Mannvit along with their sub-contractor, KMS Technologies, performed geothermal mapping on the Greek islands of Milos and Kimolos for PPC Renewables S.A in 2009. The mapping took place using AMT and MT impedance measurements. The measurements are part of a research project in the region that included field data acquisition from a total of 65 stations on the two islands.
