Mannvit Delegates to Attend 2010 World Geothermal Congress in Indonesia
In a joint effort with six other Icelandic geothermal industry players, Mannvit Engineering will be representing their geothermal expertise in the upcoming World Geothermal Congress in Bali, Indonesia.
The World Geothermal Congress only occurs every 5 years, and this year’s event is considered to be particularly important as countries all over the world wrestle with the challenges of growing energy demand and the transition to renewable energy sources. The purpose of this event, and the World Geothermal Congress in general, is to promote geothermal energy as a cost-effective, reliable and renewable energy source to world leaders, policy makers and investors. The event will provide an excellent forum for networking, information sharing and discussion.
In total, seven Icelandic entities are sending representatives and will sharea booth at the exhibition, including: ISOR (Iceland GeoSurvey), Iceland Drilling, Íslandsbanki, Landsvirkjun (The National Power Company), Orkustofnun (The National Energy Authority), Mannvit Engineering and Verkís.
Mannvit is sending three senior representatives: Helga Tulinius, Geophysicist, M.Sc. and Project Manager, Kristinn Ingason Mechanical Engineer, M.Sc. and Section Manager of Geothermal, Auður Andrésdóttir Geophysicist, M.Sc. and Section Manager of Environment. All three will be available for meetings during the event.
Two of Mannvit’s representatives will be presenting during the technical program sessions, Helga Tulinius and Kristinn Ingason.
