Mannvit Engineering recently joined the Canadian Geothermal Energy
Association (“CanGEA“) and is registered as „Qualified Person“, under
the Canadian Geothermal Code for Public Reporting (the “Code”).
On March 3rd, 2010, CanGEA released the Code and hosted a Geothermal
Code Investment Seminar and Reception in Toronto on March 3rd, 2010. On
this occasion CanGEA opened the markets at the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Magma Energy Corporation announced closure of an agreement to acquire
32% of Iceland geothermal company HS Orka. As part of the technical
due diligence, Mannvit Engineering prepared an independent technical
report on the geothermal plants and properties of HS Orka in support of
Magma’s technical due diligence assessment which was concurrent with
its objective of acquiring the ownership stake in HS Orka.

The ground breaking of the first C02 to methanol plant at the Svartsengi Geothermal Power Plant was held on October 17, 2009. This is the first plant of its kind in the world and Mannvit Engineering was responsible for project management and plant design.

Mannvit is currently working on geothermal mapping on the Greek islands Milos and Kimolos, along with their sub-contractors, KMS Technologies. Mapping takes place using AMT and MT impedance measurements.

In June, 2009 Mannvit Engineering was awarded a grant from GEORG (the Geothermal Research Group) for a research and development project for High pressure and high temperature geothermal grouts. Contracts for the project have been signed.

Friday, August 12th marked the official opening of the Molta composting station. The station is the largest composting station in Europe and is designed to handle organic refuse from Northern Iceland.

The last quarter of 2008 Mannvit worked on feasibility studies for two hydroelectric plants in Chile. The project was being conducted on behalf of HydroChile in cooperation with local officials in Santiago. Mannvit had one employee stationed in Santiago for one month but also had employees in Reykjavik supporting the project. Mannvit is responsible for 25% of the project.

Earlier this month, the employees of Mannvit received a visit from the President of Iceland, Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson. The President visited the Laugarvegur office in Reykjavik, where he enjoyed lunch with employees as well as a tour of the office.

Students enrolled in the Masters program for Project Management (MPM) at the University of Iceland visited Mannvit to learn about the company. The MPM program been taught as a part of the engineering program at the university over the last few semesters and visiting Mannvit is a part of the course were they can see project management in action.

A project to extend the Keflavik International Airport runway began last summer and is planned to be completed by June, 2009. The runway will be extended on both ends and the older part of the runway leveled. Plans for the airport also include creating a larger airport terminal building, which is part of overall expansion, plans to make the airport more suitable to service increased international flights.

The 13th International Conference on Alkali-Aggregate Reaction in Concrete was held in Trondheim, Norway on June 16-20, 2008. The event was co-sponsored by Mannvit Engineering. In attendance were the most prominent experts in the world on the topic of Alkali-Aggregate Reaction (AAR).

Carbon Recycling International and Mannvit Engineering recently signed a long term, exclusive agreement to engineer and build a the world's first geothermal to liquid fuel plant.

The new aluminum plant, Fjardaal has been officially handed over to Alcoa. The project is the single largest private project that has been undertaken in Iceland. HRV Engineers, a company owned by two engineering firms, Mannvit and VST, worked on the project in cooperation with Bechtel Contracting Corporation. The project got on its way on July 8, 2004 with a ground breaking ceremony with construction starting in October, 2004. Aluminum production started in the plant in April, 2007, but the plant was officially opened for business in June, 2007.

Reykjavik Energy signed an agreement today, September 14th, with a consulting group on the design of new power plants on Hellisheidi. Fjarhitun, Landslag, Rafteikn, TARK and Mannvit form this group, companies that have worked closely together in the last 20 years with the design of geothermal power plants, or ever since Nesjavellir power plant was constructed in 1986.

Exorka International Limited and Mannvit signed a framework agreement that includes that Mannvit will provide comprehensive engineering services in all Exorka's projects built on Kalina technology (use of geothemal power to energy and geothermal production). Currently there are four projects in Germany and our employees are involved in project management in El Salvador and borehole exploration in Europe. Plans are also on the table for power plants in Nicaragua and in Australia from 4-5MW to 18-19 MW in size.

Mannvit Engineering has signed an agreement with Pannonplast Zrt in Hungary to provide them with comprehensive engineering services for Pannonplast's eight new geothermal plants in Hungary.
