Mannvit Engineering maintains its headquarters in Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland, and has seven branch offices strategically located in Akranes, Akureyri, Húsavík, Egilsstaðir, Reyðarfjörður, Selfoss and Reykjanesbær.

Mannvit's operations may be classified under several main categories of consulting: the construction of residential and commercial buildings, structural maintenance projects, project planning, project supervision and inspection, environmental consulting, construction management and project management (EPCM), geotechnical engineering, geology, geothermal energy, traffic structures, power plants and infrastructure.  And, also research and testing in the fields of concrete, soil and building construction materials.

For the past four decades, Mannvit has provided comprehensive engineering and consulting services, to both the public and private sectors, for the building of many large structures across the nation.  These include schools, indoor sports facilities, hospitals and other public buildings including, residential and commercial construction works.  Mannvit has provided engineering services and project management to various municipalities for the construction of roads, mains and utilities, bridges and harbors, along with planning and various types of engineering and economic feasibility studies for both the public and private sectors.  Finally, Mannvit has actively participated in the planning, design and supervision of major power structures, particularly geothermal power plants, hydroelectric plants and power distribution systems.
